The 12th King’s Cup Elephant Polo Tournament Triumphs In Thailand


Te 12th annual King’s Cup Elephant Polo Tournament came to a close on Sunday in the royal seaside town of Hua Hin in Tailand. Attended by teams from all over the world, as well as celebrities, VIP guests and


many Bangkok and local Hua Hin residents, the tournament was a resounding success, offering up a showcase of skillful play, plenty of memorable moments and a new winning team for 2013. A total of 50 street elephants took part in this year’s tournament, during which they are well fed, provided with a native forest environment, and receive essential vitamin supplements, full veterinary checks and care for the duration of the event.


Te tournament was once again a great success, and is now one of the biggest events in Tailand’s sporting calendar, each year attracting more sponsors and raising more funds for Tailand’s elephant population.


Sparkly Affair at Mere To celebrate their 10 year anniversary, Cheshire based Moore Finance decided to give something back to two local charities by holding a sparkly fundraising ball at the Mere in Knutsford. Guests donned their glittery dresses and dinner suits and joined TV celebrities, sports personalities, local dignitaries and beneficiaries and representatives of the two charities, Moore Foundation and Claire House, on the red carpet for an evening of glitz and glamour. Tey were treated to an array of top class entertainment by swingband Dominic Halpin & Te Honey Bs, a fabulous performance from show girls, a delicious gourmet three course dinner, as well as an auction and raffle hosted by Key 103’s Mike Toolan.
