Line the ball up straight in the middle of the stick. If it’s too close to the throat or too high the other way, the refs will call you for it.
I’ll look at the other guy’s grip quick to see what he’s doing,
I’m a clamp guy. You could also call it pinch-and- pop. I call it clamp because sometimes I’m in there a little bit longer. If you’re going to be a really good faceoff guy, clamp has to be your number one move, because you can control the ball much better once you win it.
I push my right hand hard into the ground and pull my left hand up in the air to pinch my stick and keep the ball in there as tight as I can.
Drive your left hand really hard. Punch it to get the ball out forward.
My fi rst move is with my hands and if I don’t have it, I start to drive with my legs.
If he wins it, I
usually try to scrap and make it a fi ght for the ground ball.
