reminders of how pleasant first class rail travel was as the railroads fought for the survival of passenger service after World War II. 8TH ANNUAL GAITHERSBURG MODEL TRAIN SHOW The model train show is being held on the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in the Old Auditorium, across from the 4 large buildings containing the Railroad - Steamship - Transportation Artifacts Show and Sale. Over 100 tables packed with model railroad items, including O, HO & N Gauge trains. Model railroading tools, scenery, building supplies, books, track sets, figures and kits will be available for sale. There are two model layouts to watch. Also available are model airplanes and everything for the modeler from beginner to advanced levels.
