FLYZONE’S Newest Micros Nieuport 17 & Tiger Moth

Two new micro models that deliver scale looks and great flying !

By Larry Kruse PHOTOGRAPHY: LARRY KRUSE F 48

lyzone’s expansion in the micro-mar- ket continues with these two offerings that capture the multi-wing magic of flight with little effort. These two nifty little additions follow the same successful for- mula used with their S.E.5a and their Albatros, but offer the modeler two new models with dis- tinct personalities.

The Nieuport 17’s history as one of the pre- mier Allied fighters early in WWI, and the Tiger Moth’s reputation as one of the most notable mil- itary and civilian trainers of aviation’s Golden Age, are distilled nicely into these two new mul- ti-winged models. They both capture the ro- mance and magic of airplanes that are more than monoplanes. I was tempted to use the phrase “biplane magic”, but by definition, the lit- tle Nieuport 17 is widely recognized as a sesqui- plane with its smaller bottom wing, while the Tiger Moth is a true classic bipe.
