Combat was once again a popular event. A combatant (above left) is in a good position for a cut. From this position (above center) a cut looks promising. A successful cut (above right), but where does the streamer go after it is eaten? John Tate flew an electric Dolphin (below left) to place 3rd in Classic Advanced.


Don Herdman (below right) releases Matt Colan’s Aresin PA Expert. Matt also flew the Ares in the Classic category. Matt is a very talented flier and was the Junior member of the U.S. World team, but couldn't attend because it coincided with his first week of college.

Team Absurd (above right) hard at work building their Junkyard Warrior. Even inverted (below left), Team Absurd’s creation has


no problem at all. Notice the large offset on the rudder in an effort to keep the line tension constant. Team Canada built another very airworthy machine (below right) and was able to gain first place as the Mountie maintains his tenacious hold on the model’s flap area.
