A little bit of after-business fun (at left) which begs the question, how many engineers does it take to start a tri-motor? After successfully starting all three engines on the scratchbuilt creation (above), the middle engine stopped shortly after takeoff. Don Sopka flies the very same ARF Nobler (below left) that was reviewed in the May 2004 issue of FM. In Classic Intermediate, Bob Hudak flew this great looking F-105 Thunderchief that features electric retractable landing gear. Bob was able to place first in Nostalgia 30 Intermediate.

Les Byrd in the Classic Advanced class, performs a wing over with his B-40 Fierce Arrow(at left). Warbirds were plentiful as witnessed by Don Herdman’s P-40 Warhawk (above) in inverted flight. Tim Stagg brought this beautifully detailed electric Tsunami (below) and flew it in PA Expert.
