World’s most daring drop tower?
This coming spring, Busch Gardens Tampa will thrills to new heights when it debuts the 335ft (102m) Falcon’s Fury from Intamin, the first drop tower of its kind. Riders will pivot 90º in mid air into a
face-down dive position. An instant later they’ll plunge 60mph (97kmh) at 3.5Gs straight down with speed and power like they’ve likely never experienced before. Construction on the ride has already begun in the Timbuktu area of the park. With no connecting structures, it will be the tallest freestanding drop tower in North America.
Big Wave Racer In addition to its new Safari Off
Road Adventure (a ride-through rebirth of the former drive-through Wild Safari), New Jersey’s Six Flags Great Adventure has introduced a new slide complex at its Hurricane Harbor waterpark. Big Wave Racer, from ProSlide, lets riders race one another head- first as they hurtle in lanes down the wavy slide surface. The new attraction is the eighth slide complex at Hurricane Harbor, pushing the number of thrill slides to more than 25. The 45-acre park also features a million- gallon wave pool, a half-mile lazy river and a large children’s water playground.
New Chance carousels Chance Rides recently

The National Harbor in Washington DC has installed a new 36ft Chance carousel, while the Savannah Mall in Georgia is now offering shoppers a 28ft double-deck carousel, operated by Fun Brands Carousels. Finally, sometime this month, Chance will be delivering a 36ft carousel to the Pompano Citi Centre in Pompano Beach, Florida.
