MooRE BLAtCH AdVISES on WIRELESS CoMMUnICAtIonS dEAL WoRtH UP to £85 MILLIon
Corporatelawyers from Moore Blatch have been instrumental in the sale of a global communications specialist to commercial, defence and securities giant Cobham in a deal worth up to £85 million.
Legal experts from the law firm advised management at Axell Wireless which provides Distributed Antenna Systems and has worked on high profile projects such as the Olympic Stadium and the Shard in London, the Pentagon in the USA and Burj Khalfia in Dubai.
Moore Blatch corporate partner Peter Jeffery led the deal, which also involved the employment, property and commercial teams from Moore Blatch.
Cobham offers an innovative range of technologies and services to solve challenging problems across the commercial, defence and security markets, from deep space to the depths of the ocean. Cobham’s technological expertise includes leading positions in land, mobile and airborne antenna systems, mast systems, audio and radio management systems and radar and satellite communications. Cobham employs 10,000 people across five continents, has annual revenues of circa £1.8bn, with a heritage going back almost 80 years.
Axell will continue to be led by the existing management team operating within Cobham’s Antenna Systems Strategic Business Unit, part of Cobham’s Aerospace and Security Division.
The acquisition of Axell will enable Cobham to accelerate its focus on the commercial marketplace. Further it provides Cobham access to the exciting and rapidly growing DAS and wireless coverage segment presenting an additional customer base in an adjacent market. LM

García Sayán Abogados has helped railroad concessionaire Ferrovias Central Andina (FVCA) and operator Ferrocarril Central Andino (FCCA) obtain a US$34 million loan from Banco de Crédito del Perú.
Ferrocarril Central Andino (FCCA) is the consortium which operates the Ferrovías Central railway in Peru linking the Pacific port of Callao and the capital Lima with Huancayo and Cerro de Pasco. As one of the Trans-Andean Railways it is the second highest in the world. LM
