UK-based Hellermann Tyton is using what is claimed to be the largest all-electric injection moulding machine manufac- tured in Europe to date – a 700 tonne BMB model – for production of cable ties at its factory in Manchester. Hellermann Tyton, which is a
leading European supplier of cable ties and fi xings for aerospace, automotive and telecom customers, already operated a number of 550 tonne all-electric moulding machines supplied by Italian machinery maker BMB. The company decided to
invest in the BMB eKW 700 tonne machine, which is already in full production producing PA 6,6 ties, for its combination of quality, precision and speed as well as the considerable energy
HOT RUNNERS Gammafl ux speeds controller setting
Gammafl ux has added the Mold Wizard recognition software to its latest G24 hot runner controller. Using Mold Wizard, even an inexperienced operator is said
to be able to quickly and reliable obtain the optimum settings for the control zones and process parameters. The new hot runner mould is simply mounted in the clamping unit of
the injection moulding machine and connected up to the controller. The Mold Wizard pro- cedure is then set in operation via the overview monitor screen.
