including both general-purpose applications with its economical Success range robots and more complex automation solutions using 5-axis and 6-axis robots developed in partner- ship with Stäubli Robotics. Sepro will also demonstrate robot-assisted insert moulding and multi-material moulding. A Sepro in-mould labelling system, developed with technology partner Machines Pagés, is expected to be operating on the Sumitomo Demag stand (Hall 15 D22).
Meanwhile Stäubli says it will demon- strate at the K show how it is meeting what it claims are currently unsatisfi ed needs in kinematics (the branch of classical mechanics that describes the motion of points, individual and groups of objects). The company will launch three additional special kinematic models.
These are the new TX340 SH shelf robot; the four-axis TP80; and the RX170 HSM machining robot. Stäubli claims that the TX340 SH shelf-mounted
robot is ideal for plastics industry applications where it can handle loads of up to 165 kilos and provide a reach of 3.7 metres. The Fast Picker TP80, which is capable of more than 200 picks per minute, is recommended for rapid pick-and-place applications in the plastics industry.
The RX170 HSM
