process temperatures, which can reduce energy use and carbon footprint while simulta- neously shorten- ing cycle times and improving productivity. The company claims productivity gains of up to 18%, energy savings of up to 13% and
reductions in CO2 emissions of up to 10%. It sees this as a key benefit for the NX8000 product and has developed an on-line and App-based calculator that allows potential users to estimate the productivity gain they may achieve (try it online here

a masterbatch by the processor, but for the most part are integrated into the resin by the polymer producer. Milliken’s market manager for plastic additives for the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa) Sami T K
Palanisami says that more than 200 PP grades are available worldwide already using the NX8000 product and the company estimates the product already accounts for 70% of the clarified PP market. PP producers tend not to disclose the source of the clarifier technol- ogy they use. Those that have publicly acknowledged the use of the NX8000 product in clarified grades include Braskem and Pinnacle Polymers in the Americas, FPC Ningbo and Qilu Petrochemical in China, Slovnaft Petrochemical and Sibur in Europe, and Saudi Arabia’s
NatPet. Processors using the NX8000 technology include EMSA, Sunware and Bormioli Rocco in Europe and Sistema in New Zealand.
