Alongside the attractions of the spa, Schloss Elmau comes complete with sophisticated architecture. The property underwent a major renovation in 2005 and re-opened in 2007 as a true five-star luxury hotel and spa. It was re-designed with the ‘principle of space in mind’ says the current owner Dietmar Mueller-Elmau who understands the importance of individuality. This idea is apparent through the unique multi-coloured bath robes found in each room. Guests can stroll around in clashing hues and the staff come to know guests as ‘the lady in pink’ or the ‘chic beige couple’.
Schloss Elmau really is a retreat for all seasons.
