Message from the Headteacher

Dear Parents

As we approach the end of the formal examination season we look forward to welcoming our Year 12 students back to school. In the coming week they will commence the important process we call ‘Futures Week’. This is a dedicated period of time when our students begin to prepare for their lives after JFS, making important decisions about what their individual futures will hold. For the vast majority of our students this means visiting university campuses and commencing work on their UCAS application forms. Following the introduction

students, we are confident that the support they continue to receive from our dedicated and experienced staff within the Sixth Form team will ensure they make considered and appropriate choices for the future.

We also look forward to welcoming back to JFS the 160 Year 9 students who are coming to the end of their ‘A Taste of Israel’ (ATOI) experience. Upon their return we look forward to the ‘ATOI 2013’ students continuing to build on their relationship with Israel and sharing their

enthusiasm and passion for the State of Israel with the rest of the School.

Many parents and friends have enjoyed the opportunity to follow the students’ experiences via the ‘ATOI 2013’ Facebook page and I have taken much pleasure in seeing the photographs of our students engaging with the Land of Israel over the last couple of weeks. This is an open page on Facebook so if your child hopes to attend in future years (or you wish to reminisce about when your child attended the visit in the past) please feel free to visit the page.
