GIVE AND GO

]

Jill Remenapp

Don’t underestimate Denver’s 5-foot-1 attacker. She led the nation in assists and was first-team All-MPSF as a sophomore.

Who is your favorite athlete? Ray Rice, the Baltimore Ravens running back. He’s tiny and quick. I just love watching

him play.

What’s one thing you can’t live without? Diet Pepsi and Utz Crab Chips. There are no crab chips in Denver, so whenever I get a care package from my mom I know there will be a couple bags of them. My roommates think it’s the weirdest flavor.

What’s one thing that always puts you in a good mood? The movie “Just Friends” with Ryan Reynolds and Anna Faris. My best friends from home and I can quote the entire movie. We start group messages that could go on for hours with all the quotes.

What’s one thing lacrosse really needs? Any kind of shot clock might speed the game up a little bit.

What’s the biggest obstacle you’ve overcome? I’m 5-foot-1 and I’ve always been one of the smaller players on the field. So my biggest obstacle has been people underestimating me for my size. Being a smart player and playing with heart has proved you don’t have to be the biggest or fastest athlete to play lacrosse.

If you could meet anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?

I would love to meet my nana, my dad’s mom. She passed away a couple months before I was born. The stories I have heard make me wish I could have met her.

What did you want to be when you were younger? I love animals. I had my whole future planned out of how to become a veterinarian. But that plan has changed a little over the years. Now I’m majoring in business.

Do you have any pregame rituals?

My two roommates, Kiki Boone and Chelsea Cook, and I always play hacky sack in the locker room. The team also plays hot potato before going out to warm up.

Overtime (from Team USA’s Kristen Carr):

If you had to choose a song that describes your life what would it be?

“I Go Back” by Kenny Chesney. It reminds me of home and it just takes you back in time to all the good memories you had growing up.

Double Overtime (from Elizabeth Miller, Allen, Texas): If you were a doughnut, what kind would you be? I would be a doughnut from the Fractured Prune, the best doughnuts in the world. I always get the Pebble Beach. It’s glaze, cinnamon and sugar and mini chocolate chips.

Pose a question for our next subject.

If you could have the starring role in one film already made, which movie would you pick and why?
