The T rig
I have long been a fan of the imitation maggots and casters from Enterprise, and over the last few years I have been using them more and more in my tench fishing, and with great success. One rig that has worked
particularly well for me is the T rig, a critically balanced presentation shown to me by specimen

angler Tony King. Combined with maggots and casters and a swimfeeder approach it’s a perfect presentation to catch them. To create the excellent T rig, all
you need to do is thread a plastic Enterprise imitation maggot lengthways onto a hair and a caster on sideways to form a ‘T’. It’s a devastating rig, which has
accounted for many big catches of tench. To complete the rig, slide a small stick of groundbait down over the hook length, carefully pushing the hook point into the bottom of the bag. The T rig is a deadly
presentation that catches the tench out again and again.
