Get the most from zig rigs


Zig rig fi shing can be a hugely eff ective method and I enjoy fi shing them when the opportunity arises. You have to be sure though


that your zig rig components are spot on, in order to ensure perfect presentation. One of my main concerns has


always been the buoyancy of my hook baits, especially when fi shing long hook links of 8 ft or more, as I need to be confi dent it is holding up all that line and sitting perfectly. TOP TIP Don’t sit on your hands and wait for something to


happen, it pays to be proactive when zig rig fi shing. Fish your rods at diff erent depths, give it half an hour and if it hasn’t produced a bite then change the depth. Keep changing until you fi nd that magic depth and then get all the rods at the same level and start hauling!
