ver 100 statewide law enforcement motorcycle riders and 250 others participated in the 9th annual Safe Harbor Ride on August 18, 2012, to support the Ron Boylan Motorcy- cle Ride to Benefit Safe


Harbor Child Advocacy Center. The ride is to honor Chief Deputy Ron Boylan of the Dane County Sheriff’s Office who lost his battle with cancer. Police officers from Wisconsin and


Michigan’s Upper Peninsula joined motorcycle riders, making their way through Wisconsin’s beautiful back roads and spreading awareness of Safe Harbor. The 100-mile event finished at Quaker Steak & Lube in Middleton, WI, and all were treated to a buffet meal and live music. Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center


provides services for children who have suffered from physical or sexual abuse, neglect or have witnessed a violent crime. Over $25,000 was raised for Safe Harbor. The date for the 2013 event is Saturday, August 17.
