World Wide Association of Motor Offi cers (WWAMO)

SUBMITTED BY ANTONIO RAMOS

WORLD WIDE ASSOCIATION OF MOTOR OFFICERS IS AN INTERNATIONAL FRATERNAL ORGANIZATION OF ACTIVE AND RETIRED POLICE MOTOR- CYCLE OFFICERS. It is our goal to provide a central location to collect and disperse operational ideas and safety information to police depart- ments and Motor Offi cers worldwide. Currently we have over 1,000 members from Canada, the United States, the Caribbean and Europe. WWAMO is a not-for-profi t organi-

zation operated under the direction of TSgt. Antonio Ramos of St. James, NY and a very impressive board of directors.

Coordinator Ramos is committed

to effectively communicate to police motorcycle officers about WWAMO, increase the membership and expand the resources provided. Ramos is a cer- tifi ed police motorcycle instructor and also an instructor for the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. Currently there is a membership fee

of $5.00 (no dues) to join WWAMO. Be that self-starter, continue to learn and visit the website www.leaguelineup.com. If your agency has already sched-

uled or has plans to host a police motorcycle training & skills event, email the details along with a picture of your department shoulder patch

to Coordinator Ramos (Tsgtram@ aol.com), and he will post it on the WWAMO website. The board of directors has achieved

optimal levels of accomplishment in law enforcement and is currently construct- ing a standard for Police Motorcycle training. Once completed, this manual will be available to the membership and police departments to be used as a blueprint for success. Our goal is quite simple: standardize training for the ultimate in safety and professional- ism. Information will be forthcoming on the website.

Ride safe and keep training.

are about you and those who rode before. We will be featuring a new city or state every year along with a themed feature exhibit. Along with the Female

Motor Exhibit in 2013, there will be several new displays and new motorcycles fea- turing a timeline of Indian Chiefs, an authentic jail cell so you can have your pic- ture taken here rather than there, and a new expanded military motorcycle exhibit where we will pay tribute to the Vietnam veteran. This is the museum’s third year in Meredith, and

we exist because of you. Solely funded by admission and the gift shop, we are proud that the museum funds itself without government assistance. We are the only museum of its kind in the country, and we strive to provide a unique experience to all those who enter.
