Holloways of Ludlow were delighted to be asked by The British Fashion Council to supply a range of striking designer lamps for the new-look reception at London Fashion week


Holloways of Ludlow are renowned for specialising in unusual contemporary and traditional interior fittings and fixtures for consumers and the professional design industry.


The British Fashion Council chose Holloways of Ludlow to supply a range of striking designer table lamps for the new-look reception area at London Fashion Week, which ran from the 15th to 19th February 2013. The creative installation, designed by production agency Blonstein and Associates, showcases seven striking Tolomeo Mega Table Lights with parchment shades that are displayed on tables within the reception of the host venue, Somerset House. The Tolomeo Mega table lamp features a fully adjustable arm structure in polished aluminum that allows the user to swing the arm and shade to provide a direct light emission. As part of the Tolomeo lighting range, it is also available with a black satin shade. It


“When our creative team at Blonstein & Associates started planning the new-look reception area for London Fashion Week, we knew we wanted to create a permanent, luxurious feel to the space and the right lighting was key to this. Due to Somerset House being a grade one listed building, we needed to find a lighting solution that could be temporarily installed without any permanent fixings- Holloways of Ludlow’s Tolomeo Mega Table lights were perfect because they create the elegant illusion of a suspended light fitting that is synonymous with quality and style”.

was designed by Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fascine in 1987 for Artemide. The Tolomeo Mega table lamp was the perfect choice for the design team at Bronstein and Associates when they decided to upgrade the look and feel of the main reception area using ambience lighting that could easily be displayed within the desk registration area, without installing or fixing lights to the architecture of this historical space.
