Producing the Numbers

Getting here is easy and affordable. Attendees arrive on more than 37 scheduled airlines, which provide nonstop service from 82 domestic and 34 international cities at Orlando International Airport (MCO). Orlando airfares rank in the top 10 lowest among the 50 largest United States airports. And with new international service from British Airways, Avianca, Copa Airlines and TAM, the destination is even more globally connected.

The Orange County Convention Center — comprised of two separate buildings connected by a 1,500-foot open-air bridge with moving sidewalks across International Drive — offers 2.1 million square feet of exhibition space, plus 480,000 square feet of function space, including meeting rooms.

• 2.1 million square feet of total exhibition space. • Two 92,000-square-foot general assembly areas. • 74 meeting rooms, with 235 breakouts. • Three full-service restaurants and eight food courts. • On-site parking for 6,227 vehicles. • Three covered loading docks and 173 truck bays.

There are four first-class hotels and 5,185 rooms within a half-mile radius of the Orange County Convention Center. Eleven hotels with 7,380 sleeping rooms are within one mile. Widen that radius to two miles, and the options expand to 40 first-class hotels and 16,668 rooms.

“The availability of international nonstop flights into Orlando, especially from Germany and the U.K., as well as the low airfares from many domestic locations, played a large role in justifying our move to the area.”

— Bob Chiricosta Exhibition Director Mack Brooks Exhibitions Inc.

Several hotels provide pedestrian walkways or bridges that connect to the Orange County Convention Center, including the Hilton Orlando, The Peabody Orlando and the Rosen Centre Hotel. A pedestrian bridge connecting the 31-story expansion of The Peabody Orlando to the convention center is planned for 2013.
