Paul Buc is a “Wicked” cool skating dad. He helps the Crystallettes novice team on the

weekends, playing music and assisting at practice. His daughter, Kelley, a member of the team, is head- ed to college this fall. Buc shows up at the weekend sessions in funny hats or costumes as something to bring a smile to the skaters’ faces. In Plymouth, he didn’t disappoint.

Members of the 2013 U.S. Figure Skating Scho- lastic Honors Team are honored during an on-


ice ceremony in Plymouth. These student-athletes, along with six of their peers, were recognized for their eff orts in the classroom, in their communities and as competitive fi gure skaters and synchronized skaters. They receive scholarships and team jack- ets. The Scholastic Honors Team is funded through the generosity of the Pioneer Fund, the legacy of the late Helen McLoraine.
