Impact of Simulation on Metalcasters’ Customer Relationships Metalcasters must begin to see simulation as a total business tool from customer devel- lopment to sales to production. Your customers are demanding it as a key part of the process and many of your competitors are using it to validate their business.
MONDAY, APRIL 8 9:15 a.m. Centrifugal Casting - A Manufacturing Process for Innovative Products Centrifugal casting is known as the common manufacturing process for pipes and ring-shaped products like bushes and cylinders. Potentials exist in the manufacturing of products with outside shape like gear housings, which do not have to be rotation symmetric. Charging 2 different materials as the so-called composite casting also is possible. A wide range of machine automation levels and data-based recording of parameters will give additional benefits to this manufacturing process.
Centrifugal casting is not just for pipes. This aluminum impeller was centrifu- gally cast vertically.
