UK Chamber responded to HMRC consultation on duty stamps on beer, highlighting the need to accommodate sales from shops on ferries and showing that proposals for a new “excise goods to declare” lane at ports would be illegal.


August New short course criteria produced covering Navigation Aids and Equipment Simulator Training (NAEST), Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS) simulator training, and Human Element Leadership and Management (HELM) in line with STCW 78 Manila amendments.

UK Chamber evening seminar on Bribery Act 2010, with guest speaker Philip Roche of Norton Rose.


August


UK Chamber of Shipping historical files transferred to Modern Records Centre at University of Warwick in preparation for office move.


JUNE JULY July


UK Chamber responded to four MCA consultations on UK implementation of the Maritime Labour Convention, covering crew accommodation, food and catering, medical care on board and ashore and shipowner liability for sick and injured seafarers.
