Antonio Sergio Giacomini Jr. is one of the leading partners at Andrioli e Giacomini Advogados where he heads the tax and energy and infrastructure practice Groups, and is also a member of the management committee of the firm. He has represented clients in local and international transactions in the following areas: Tax, Oil, Gas and Energy, Project Finance, Contracts, Corporate, Mergers and Acquisitions and Administrative law.

Antonio Sergio Giacomini Jr. has a strong practice in the private sector with more than 15 years of experience, acting in the areas of tax planning, mergers and acquisition and reorganization taxation, fiduciary and trust structures, foreign investment and contracts and taxation of the oil and gas industry. He has gathered considerable experience in issues related to the energy sector since the beginning of the privatization, acting in several thermoelectric and co-generation projects in Brazil, negotiating power purchase agreements, corporate

and project financing, gas agreements, EPC and Project Financing contracts, as well as qualification and preparation for public biddings in the energy sector.

He received his law degree from the Mackenzie University School of Law and his Master of Laws Degree from the University of Minnesota, USA. He is a member of AMCHAM - American Chamber of Commerce in Brazil and had an important role within the IBDE – Brazilian Institute of the Studies of the Energy Law, being co-founder and a member of the Institute’s Deliberative Council.
