MGR Appraisals is a niche practice of valuers specialising in the valuation of plant, machinery, inventory and business assets. Our client base comprises of accountants, solicitors, banks and asset based lenders predominantly for the purpose of corporate recovery/restructuring and business turnaround. We also undertake retrospective valuation work for legal cases involving the sale of undervalue together with valuation advice with respect to proceeds of crime. To complement the asset valuation service we also offer valuation and disposal of real estate.

The directors of MGR Appraisals are

Richard Mascall, James Gregory and Jim Roberts.

The practice was a result from a management buyout of a national practice in December 2009.

Richard Mascall has 29 years experience in the valuation and disposal of plant and machinery, he is:

Qualified Associate Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors

Associate Member of R3 – Association of Business Recovery Professionals

Associate of British Academy of Experts.

Areas of expertise

MGR Appraisals specialise in providing valuations of plant, machinery, inventory, goodwill and intellectual property as well as offering asset disposal services to include online auction, tender and private treaty. The basis of valuation is determined by our client. Plant and machinery valuations are usually on the basis of market value in accordance with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. These can be on the basis of in-situ and/or ex-situ. Our inventory valuations are normally on the basis of fair market value and forced liquidation value in accordance with the American Society of Appraisers Business Valuation Standards.
