Robert Davies has been appointed as the CEO of AREVA UK. He is currently Vice President, New Builds, for the UK, and will combine the two roles. Davies said: “We are at the beginning of a new chapter for AREVA in the UK. We are on the verge of approval and construction of the EPRTM which will be the first new nuclear station in Britain for a generation and we have announced
ambitious plans for assembling and manufacturing wind- turbines for the fast-growing offshore wind industry. “We are also looking to expand our existing activities in solving the challenges posed by used nuclear fuel at Sellafield and other sites. “I look forward to AREVA playing a major part in the development of the UK low carbon energy industry and the British industrial base.” Davies has been with AREVA for 12 years. He previously served in the Royal Navy.

Enrichment Technology Company (ETC) has announced the appointment of Reinhard Hinterreither as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ETC and Benjamin Fremaux as his successor as Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Reinhard Hinterreither replaces Guillaume Dureau who joins the
AREVA Group where he has been appointed as Senior Executive Vice President of the Front End Business Group, in charge of Chemistry, Enrichment and Fuel Activities for AREVA. Hinterreither has been the Chief Operating Officer of Enrichment
Technology since May 2010. Before joining ETC Reinhard served as President and CEO for Louisiana Energy Services LLC (URENCO USA) between 2006 to 2010, leading the successful licensing, design, safe construction and operational readiness of the first centrifuge enrichment facility in the United States based on ETC technology. Fremaux, who joins ETC from the AREVA Group, has held the
position of Senior Executive Vice President, Strategy, Mergers and Acquisitions of AREVA since 2011 and was also Secretary to the AREVA Executive Management Board.
