Compton heads up Creative and Digital Media group at Metropolis
EUROPEAN RECORDING studio and entertainment complex Metropolis has recruited Emily Compton as head of its Creative and Digital Media team. She joins Metropolis from Momentum Pictures where she held the role of technical manager for Europe and oversaw Momentum’s release schedule across both theatrical and home entertainment across multiple territories. She joins Metropolis as the group looks to further expand its client base into the film and TV market to enhance its existing music and entertainment customers.

MHz expands sales team
MEGAHERTZ (MHZ), the UK-based systems integrator, has appointed Jo van der Linde as its UK sales manager. Van der Linde will be responsible for managing MHz’s existing key customer accounts and driving new business opportunities to build

Based at Grass Valley’s office in Stockley Park, Bacho brings over 20 years’ experience to the company, including a previous position at Harris Broadcast.

RTW has hired Arjen Hofland as the company’s new International Sales manager. Based at RTW’s headquarters in Cologne, Germany, Hofland will oversee all of RTW’s international sales in different regions around the world. Carlos Ferreira has been hired as Snell’s regional sales director for Southern Europe. Ferreira, who from 2002 to 2010 served as regional sales manager for Iberia at Snell (then Snell & Wilcox), returns to the company to manage not only Southern European sales operations, but also those in Latin American markets.
Sohonet has announced seven new appointments to support its global expansion programme. Rupert Mussen replaces Clare Wadd, who has taken a role in the charity sector, as chief financial officer. Steven Rich will play a
pivotal role in the expansion of Sohonet’s US operation as director of Sales, North America. Ben Dair takes on a new role as director of Product Management. Rhodri Evans has come on board as director of Global Operations. Thomas Filloud joins Sohonet as its new director of Sales, EMEA. Jeff Cohen is an addition to Sohonet’s US sales team, while Julian Rammtakes on the role of West Coast sales executive. Tedial has appointed David Abel as sales director. Prior to joining Tedial, Abel was director of Sales and Business Development at AmberFin.
Telestream has expanded its executive management team as industry veteran Paul Turner joins the company in a new role as vice president of Enterprise Product Management. Tyrell has hired Tim Cunningham as UK Regional Development manager. Cunningham brings over 30 years’ broadcast and media experience with him and has previously worked for Presteigne Charter. He has also held positions at Altered Images and Solid State Logic. Two new recruits have started at Wimbledon Film & TV Studios. Joining from Pinewood Studios, Daniel Spence takes on the role of operations manager. In addition, Nicola Poupard has been recruited as studio manager. James Doyle has been added to the roster of Wise Buddah Studios sound engineers. Doyle spent seven years at Pinewood Studios before joining Soho Square Studios and most recently Brown Bag Films in Dublin.
