RIDETRAXX BY ALCORN MCBRIDE

More and more theme park attractions are equipped these days with audio to enhance the passenger experience. Yet ensuring that such soundtracks can be played back during a moving ride without any disruption is more difficult than it may sound. RideTraXX is engineered for up to 17 channels of audio playback in the most harsh and demanding conditions, and is ideal for dark rides, simulators and rollercoasters. MP3 files are stored on CompactFlash within a rugged, reliable, maintenance-free cabinet that operates smoothly in high vibration, high inertia environments. Also available in the Alcorn TraXX range are the ProTraXX, for playback of audio in a wide range of settings from queue lines to retail stores, and the TourTraXX, which triggers audio in tour buses and other sightseeing vehicles.

CASHLESS EXPRESS BY IDEAL SOFTWARE SYSTEMS

This new low-cost, turnkey debit solution from Ideal Software Systems gives arcades and small-scale FEC operators a

simple card-swipe system that enables them to easily make the switch to a cashless environment for increased revenue and tighter controls. The back-lit LED reader draws customers in, and then reliable optical

card-scanning technology with a double-sided bar-code reader keeps them playing. Blinking lights, audio and even video can be triggered when they win. The full small screen can also be used to show a player how to activate the machine in question, the remaining value left on the card, or the number of tickets won.

idealss.com FIRE FIGHTERS BY IE PARK

This new interactive children’s ride is equipped with two water cannons, featuring a choice of either automatic or manual functions, with riders aiming the water at various effects and targets within the centre as they revolve around it.

The speed of rotation is very slow in order to provide adequate time for players to hit the targets and to enjoy the different scenes. Optional extras include additional fire trucks, platforms and fences. Several units have already been delivered.

“I am very happy that we have created yet another new and exciting interactive ride to complement our already extensive range of children’s attractions,” says IE Park sales director Andrea Munari.
