attractions Both Puteri Harbour and Legoland Malaysia form part of the Iskandar special economic zone in Nusajaya, just across the Johor Straits from Singapore. Since its official opening on October 15, Legoland has recorded crowds between 15- 17,000 per day over key weekend periods. A 250-room Lego-themed hotel will open in 2013, modelled on the Legoland Hotel at Legoland Windsor near London, followed by Legoland Waterpark in 2014. Legoland Malaysia is a joint venture between operator Merlin Entertainments and investors Themed Attractions and Resorts (TAR) and Iskandar Investment Bhd (IIB). As well as Kidzania Kuala Lumpur, which opened in this spring, further attractions are planned from TAR over the years to come on the Desaru Coast and in Kuala Lumpur.
Kitty Town and The Little Big Club is available for RM110 (US$36/€28), or RM85 to card-carrying Malaysian residents. Each outlet can be visited individually for RM65/50. Visitors wishing to dine at Lat’s Place are encouraged to book a table in advance. Projected annual attendance to the entire Puteri Harbour Family Theme Park development is in excess of 400,000 visitors.
