The Italian SBF/Visa Group has taken a fresh spin on the classic Rotor with the introduction of Zero Gravity. The attraction comprises a 6.3-metre (21ft) diameter drum that spins anticlockwise before the floor falls away and riders are left pinned to the inner wall likes flies.
By using a translucent material for the wall, and 36 strips of LEDS for illumination, spectators on the outside are able to the marvel at the passengers on the inside as they hurtle by, apparently defying gravity. One of seven new games from Bob’s Space Racers, Bob’s Fishin’ Hole invites players to grab a net and dip in to catch a fish, place it on the scale, and see what they have won. The fish have RFID chips inside that determine their “weight” and which are read the moment they are placed on the special scale. It’s simple and easy game to play.

LED BUMPER CARS BY RDC
American manufacturer RDC has released a new LED illuminated version of its signature spinning bumper car. Available in both battery and electric floor versions, the cars come equipped with either single colour or vivid multi-changing LED lights around the perimeter of the fibreglass seating. The cars can also be supplied with patterned multicoloured bumpers for added visual appeal.
Although LEDs (light emitting diodes) have been used in amusement rides for some years now, RDC’s Tami Dean say it has taken some time to find the right LEDs that are bright enough for use in both indoor and outdoor installations. The new look bumper cars certainly fit the bill.
Lights can also be retrofitted to existing RDC bumper cars. The first shipment will be an order for 16 cars, due for delivery this month to Pacific Park at Santa Monica Pier, California.
