A classic night
All that glistens: the travel industry dresses up for Chambers Travel Management’s Venetian masquerade party
TRAVEL PROFESSIONALS, partners and sponsors gathered at London’s exclusive Club at The Ivy for a glamorous evening of sparkling cocktails, glittering masks, live opera singing and fabulous prizes at Chambers Travel Management’s Venetian masquerade party. The travel management company teamed up with sponsors British Airways, Iberia, American Airlines, Qantas, Vanquish Technologies and Panacea Publishing to host a memorable evening for its clients and partners. Prizes of trips to Venice and Paris were
awarded for the best masks, and guests enjoyed canapés recreated from the Ivy restaurant’s signature dishes, including miniature shepherd’s
pies and fishcakes with sorrel sauce. Also out in force were the Ivy’s signature Twinkle cocktails. Professional opera singers performed classics, including ‘Nessun Dorma’, and famous faces dropping in included BBC correspondent Frank Gardner and Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood. Chambers’ CEO Chris Thelen said: “I didn’t think we could top last year’s Destination Fashion, but the response to our Venetian masquerade party was overwhelming. We had a great night – I’d like to thank our sponsors and all those who attended for making it such a memorable evening. It was such a success that we’re already planning next year’s event to be even bigger and better!” ■
