will revel in the ‘Super Tuscan Tastings’ of acclaimed vintages of Sassicaia, Tignanelle and Masseto. The aft section of the Piazza leads to

the Symphony Dining Room, while the forward area is the locale of the Lotus Spa and Salon. This has been relocated and expanded to include an enhanced hydrotherapy pool and thermal suite called The Enclave, as well as a Hammam, Caldarium and Laconium. When I asked Caluori about the

rationale behind repositioning the Spa lower down in the vessel, he retorted: “When you are enjoying a luxurious spa treatment you are very often lying face down so can’t see the view anyway!” The forward section of Decks 6 and 7 encompasses the 1,000-seat Princess

Theatre. Aft of this on Deck 6 is the Casino and Night Club. In the adjacent Piazza is the new concept of an Italian-inspired Bellini Bar and Alfredo’s Pizzeria where hand-tossed Neapolitan-style pizzas are served straight from the oven.

T

owards the stern, guests will find both the Concerto and Allegro Dining Rooms. Known for creating

the first-ever chef’s table at sea, Princess will set a new standard for this popular event with the debut of the 12-seat Chef’s Table Lumière, surrounded by a fibre-optic curtain of light enveloping the custom- made glass table. There will also be Chef’s Tables in the two other dining rooms. Radiating forward from the Piazza on Deck 7 is the popular Crooners Bar and

a novel addition of an Ocean Terrace and Seafood Bar. Further aft, ‘Princess Live’ is an unparalleled entertainment concept debuting on Royal Princess.

Seating 276 passengers, this television studio is another Princess first. In this intimate performance venue, guests will be able to watch ‘The Wake Show,’ live cookery demonstrations, game shows, late-night comedy and small-scale performances by the ship’s accomplished musicians. Close by is the Crown Grill, the line’s seafood and chop house, which serves premium Sterling Silver steaks. This idiosyncratic dining option segues to the Wheelhouse Bar to offer a complete evening of dining and entertainment in one location. A new contemporary look
