PEPPERS PEPPER CULTURE


Start indoors in flats 8-10 weeks prior to last frost date. Plant seed ½" deep, 1" apart in flats when start- ing. Allow 2 weeks for germination. Transplant when plants are 1½" tall. Seed will not germinate in cool soil. Transplant into the garden when night temperature is over 50°F. Place a couple matches in the hole as peppers like a slightly acidic soil. Space plants 2' apart in rows 3' apart. Maturity dates are from the time of transplanting. A packet contains 25 seeds unless otherwise stated.
