EGGPLANT CULTURE About 8-10 weeks before your last frost, plant seeds ½” deep in flats. Allow 10 days for ger- mination. Transplant into Jiffy Pots when about 2” tall. After all danger of frost, transplant directly into the garden 2½ to 3’ apart in rows 2 to 3’ apart. Grow on black plastic to get a jump on the season.

CUCUMBER CULTURE

After all danger of frost and soil is warm (55°F at 6 inches), plant 5-6 seeds 1” deep in hills 4-5’ apart. Allow 10-14 days for germina- tion. When plants are 4” high, thin to 2 or 3 of the strongest plants. Well-rotted manure mixed into the bottom of each hill will stimulate growth and increase yield considerably. For straightest fruits for slicing, train your vines on a trellis or netting. A packet contains 30 seeds unless otherwise stated. 800 seeds per ounce.
