C ONFERENCE Pipeline Coating 2013 Austria Trend Hotel Savoyen, Vienna, Austria 18-20 February 2013,

Applied Market Information (AMI) is pleased to invite you to attend the 5th international conference on Pipeline Coating to be held from 18-20 February 2013 at the Austria Trend Hotel Savoyen in the beautiful city of Vienna, Austria. The welcome drinks reception alongside the exhibition on the fi rst evening opens the event with opportunities to meet with global pipeline protection professionals.

The conference sessions will be held in English language and simultaneously translated into Russian.

There are increasing challenges in pipeline operating conditions and this is driving research on coatings. High sulfur inside or outside the pipe is a highly corrosive environment and there has been worldwide research into pipeline design and coatings to combat the effects, for example in carrying high sulfur fuel oil. Physical conditions are equally demanding as in deep subsea pipelines.

As well as energy security, the other looming global issue is water security. It is vital that pipes carrying potable drinking water do not affect it, and this has been the subject of study by several coating companies this year. Internal coatings can facilitate smooth fl ow as well as providing protection for the steel pipeline.

Not all coating can be carried out in the factory and fi eld joint coating is an ongoing subject of debate, with special equipment and material developments in this area.

Pipeline engineers, operators, materials and pipeline experts meet together at AMI’s Pipeline Coating 2013 conference, 18-20 February 2013 in Vienna, Austria and registration is now open.
