Carl Kammerling Improves Its Online Tools Carl Kammerling International – leading supplier of products to the construction, electronic and security industries – has cemented its online presence with the launch of a brand new, visually engaging website at www.carlkammerling.com. Virtual home to its five brands – C.K tools, C.K. Magma, C.K classic, Kasp and

Avit– the new and improved website is part of the company’s continued commitment to offering its customers unsurpassed support. A key

element of the improved website is a virtual shop where suppliers have round-the- clock access to their stock portfolio.

Understanding that 9-5 may not be the most convenient time for stockists to phone and place orders, Carl Kammerling has created this valuable online facility, allowing online trade account holders to manage their stock at their own convenience. They’ll have access to real-time data i.e. product information and live pricing and discounting – and most importantly, will be able to place orders 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days of the year. To celebrate its launch, suppliers who apply for an online trade account will

benefit from an impressive 3% introductory discount on all online orders for their first month. This limited first-time only offer gives customers the opportunity to capitalise on some significant savings, especially for those who intend to make repeat orders during this time. Orders can be placed in three easy steps, and to ensure customers get the best deal, every time, orders will be cross referenced with any deals / promotions currently running across the brands.

Chequers Capital invests in Metabo Following an extensive search for an investor to speed up strategy and growth, Metabo have welcomed investment from Chequers Capital, who takes over the majority of the power tool manufacturer from Nurtingen. In connection with this transaction, the Metabo management team of CEO Horst W. Garbrecht and the Chief Financial Officer Eric Oellerer are taking a stake in the company. The remaining shares remain with the three founder families who were the sole shareholders since the company was founded in 1924. “We did not want just any investor, we wanted the right one - and we found

them in Chequers Capital”, says Garbrecht with delight. “We successfully restructured the company and initiated a strategic realignment at the same time that is finding more and more response on the market. The fresh growth capital enables us to invest in the brand and in markets whilst optimising the balance sheet at the same time. As planned we are herewith concluding the chapter of restructuring Metabo”, explains Garbrecht. Says Dr. Karsten Hartmann, Managing Director of the Munich branch of

Chequers Capital. “We only invest in companies that are positioned well and stable. Metabo has a clear strategy and a convincing vision for the further development of the company.” The Nürtingen company reported good figures for 2011. Adjusted for

exceptional items the turnover of the company increased by 7% in 2011. Explains CEO Garbrecht, “The restructuring process implemented during the recession is showing its full effect now. In 2011 we also redesigned our product range and said goodbye to sectors that did not really match Metabo. Furthermore, concentrating on professional users has given a clear direction to Metabo once again. The result of 2011 makes it abundantly clear that this is the right way.”
