cutting sheet metal FEIN has updated and expanded its metalwork range by launching a range of nibblers. For the first time the range comes complete with high-quality lithium-ion batteries as well as a redesigned housing and motors. Nibblers are the ideal tool for metalworking Nibblers are perfect for jobs where trapezoid, corrugated sheets, single rolled sheets, or profiles need to be cut at speed,
without deformation or when a precise cut-out is required. The cutting tool comprises a punch, die and cutting head. FEIN nibblers are built to be curve-compatible and compact, making work in difficult- to-reach spots much easier. Powerful results from the FEIN
cordless nibbler FEIN cordless nibblers feature high-
quality 14.4 V lithium-ion batteries and deliver performance on a par with mains-powered tools. The ‘A’ rated battery cells are capable of handling high currents and also withstand brief power surges. FEIN individual cell monitoring checks every single battery cell and protects against overload, overheating and total discharge. The batteries have a life of up to 2,000 charge cycles with a charge status indicator on the battery showing the current capacity. Weighing just 2.2 kg, the cordless nibblers are very light. Both FEIN’s cordless and mains- powered tools feature a QuickIN
clamping system for replacing punches and cutting heads quickly and tool-free. Both wearing parts can be replaced individually, cutting maintenance costs. The cutting direction can also be changed by up to 360° without the need for tools, allowing for left and right-handed operation. The nibblers are capable of cutting 30 m of 0.75 mm thick sheet steel with just one battery charge and powerful enough to cut overlaps in spiral seam pipes – used in ducting.
