Are Diamonds

Forever? Diamond is the second most stable form after graphite. There are two types of diamond in existence, naturally mined and synthetic industrial diamond. Most natural diamonds are formed at high pressure, high- temperature conditions existing in the depths of the earth’s mantle. Synthetic diamonds can be produced in a high-pressure high temperature process. Two processes called CVD and HPHT were first used successfully in the 1950s. A third process known as detonation synthesis has been used since the 1990s. When the customer

purchases a diamond blade he needs to be given advice as to the correct disc for the job. If the blade is to be used on a regular basis, a professional product will be needed whereas occasional use will require a trade or economy range product. It is also important to ascertain the materials that will be cut and the correct quality recommended for that application.
