compared to just 4 million in 1950. The highest percentages of single-person homes are in cities. In Seattle 42% of homes have just one person living in them. In Manhattan, nearly half of homes are single-person homes. Does your church have a strategy for reaching singles?

According to a recent Gallup research poll, 85% of all Americans believe in the afterlife, specifi cally in the existence of heaven.


The number of Islamic houses of worship in the U.S. has increased signifi cantly in the past decade. The nation saw a 74% increase in the number of mosques from 2000 to 2010, bringing the number from 1,209 to 2,106. With the religious landscape of the United States steadily changing, consider how your church can best reach out to those of other religions living in your community.


Nearly one in fi ve U.S. adults still do not use the Internet for any purpose. The majority of this num- ber (59%) are senior adults who indicate that the Internet is irrelevant to their daily lives.
