T

his issue’s theme, “Mobilize Me,” is unashamedly a call to action. Over the years, we’ve written a lot about the call to live on mission with God. Once we’ve accepted Christ, God is not done with us. He has a purpose for our lives—actions specifi cally planned for us to do. God calls all of us to go and gives each of us a specifi c role to play in fulfi lling the Great Commission. That’s the whole idea behind NAMB’s new “mobilize me” section on

namb.net. There are opportunities for every person in your church to be mobilized for missions in North America. Visit the website to fi nd out how you can: • involve your church in church planting, • become a North American missionary, • participate in LoveLoud ministry evangelism, • volunteer for missions opportunities, • and much more.

A call from God isn’t always dramatic. It may not come in the form of a

burning bush or an audible voice from heaven; it just needs to be acted upon. We live and serve in a world fi lled with people who are hungry for God, and the message of the gospel is the only thing that will satisfy. If we are to passionately pursue God’s call on our lives, we must open our eyes to the brokenness around us and engage the world with truth, light and l ife. As each one of us accepts responsibility for the role we are to play and we live as sent people, the Great Commission can and will be fulfi lled.

P.S. Speaking of being sent, my husband, Keith, and I have answered a call to Nashville, Tenn.; him to lead worship at a church plant and me with a new job at LifeWay Christian Resources. It has been my pleasure to serve you and offer connecting points to missions through On Mission. Thanks for all the encouragement over the years. And speaking of changes, you’ll notice a new design in this issue. We’ve combined Vitals and The Pulse, and we’ve even increased the paper size. Be sure to let us know what you think at onmis- sion@namb.net.
