Trade shows in the conference, incentive and business travel sectors are invaluable for EAs and PAs, providing opportunities to network and explore new ideas. That’s why Executive PA Magazine has a presence at many of the international shows and is regularly in talks with the organisers to arrange red-carpet treatment for our readers – in the form of hosted buyer groups. There are several shows coming up that readers can apply for hosted buyer status independently –two organised by TTG Media, IT&CMA in Bangkok and the first IT&CM India in Delhi; and CIBTM in Beijing, run by Reed Exhibitions.
21-23 AUGUST Australasia’s biggest event
AIME is one of the biggest exhibitions showcasing meetings and incentives in theAustralasia region and at this year’s event we sent along readers of Executive PAMagazine to see how the show could benefit them at work. Here’s just a snap shot of what they had to say: “Attending AIME was a fantastic opportunity to meet with
exhibitors from around the world. It really makes you think outside the square for incentives and planning events. One particular meeting really stood out for me – it involved events in Cambodia. Who knew you could have a private dinner in the grounds of one of the temples at Angkor Wat? I also had a great time networking with other EAs and event co-ordinators at the AIME social events.” Erin Lavin, EA, Ernst & Young, Sydney “Over the two days I met with 32 exhibitors and gained valuable
insight into innovative and exciting ways of organising events. It was a rare opportunity to meet with companies from around the world and make valuable contacts.” Katherine Clarke, PA, South Metro Area Health Service, Perth “We were able to do business and network in a conducive and
professional environment. The seminars, business sessions, showcases and social events all added to the momentumof reaping rewarding and valuable information.” Monica Little, EA, RipCurl, Torquay, Victoria
