Malaysia Airlines’ newest purchase delivers luxury


Malaysia Airlines has taken delivery of six A280 craft and will be putting them into service from the start of July when it commences flights to London. The new A380s will have 494 seats, with 66 business class seats on the upper floors and 420 economy seats divided between the two floors.

In Kuala Lumpur delegates attending events at the Convention Centre can now access super-speedy WiFi as its WiFi connection has been increased to a nifty 40MB. The Centre’s WiFi is acces- sible via a series of Hot Spots and will be free of charge for delegates. There are also complimentary internet sta- tions scattered around the Centre for convenient on-site accessibility.

Large international conferences can attract subsidies of up to 20 million yen which can be used to cover venue rental fees, set-up or bump-out costs, equipment rental, promotion and travel and accom- modation for foreign guests.


TRAVEL Indonesia’s private fly


A private airport in Indonesia is set to open in 2015 putting much of southeast Asia within reach for corporate travellers. When completed the Bintan Resorts International Airport – which is being billed as Indonesia’s first private international airport – will open up the resort to more corporate guests for whom access has previously been an issue.
