London’s newest serviced apartments now open
Go Native has added a new flagship London property at Lancaster Gate. Sit- uated within a Grade II listed building are 63 apartments – ranging from stu- dios through to one- and two-bed apart- ments. Despite the traditional Victorian London exterior, inside the style is strictly contemporary though designers have retained some of the original fea-
YORKSHIRE Fine Yorkshire food
Located in Malton, an idyllic market town in North Yorkshire, the Talbot Hotel has opened its door following a major £4million refurbishment which has shored up its reputation for first class cuisine. The hotel has not only been restored to its former 17th century glory but has also teamed up with celebrity chef James Martin. The restaurant has a whole new look and can accommodate up to 60 people, while the lounge bar offers additional seating for up to 60 and can used as a private dining area. On the menu you’ll find some of Yorkshire’s finest produce including Wakefield rhubarb and Whitby crab. Also inside are 26 indi-
tures – including a sweeping original staircase at either end of the building. The apartments are spread over six floors with each floor having its own style, from glitz and glamour on the ground and fifth floors to warmth and elegance on the third floor. INFO

Booking a stay at Hotel 41 for the boss is one way of making your role easier. Because we can pretty much guarantee that one stay here and no other hotel will cut it thus cutting down on the time you spend researching suitable hotels. Located on Buckingham Palace Road, the entrance to the hotel is discreet and upon entering we were whisked up to the Executive Lounge to check in in style – with a glass of Cham- pagne in hand. There we were warmly assured that no request was too much trou- ble – there was even an anything, any time button on our suite’s phone to ensure we could summon whatever our hearts desired. The hotel has the feel of an exclusive

private club and with staff outnumbering guests 2 to 1 the service here is unrivalled; attentive yet discreet. Despite the grand and stylish surroundings reminding you you’re away from your usual territory this hotel really does make you feel at home thanks to little touches. We loved the ‘Plunder the Pantry’ option where compli- mentary snacks and small bites are avail- able in the fridges in the Executive Lounge each evening. The honesty bar is another great touch to ensure your stay is no more trouble than if you were at home. Next door, at sister hotel The Rubens, you can dine in the fine dining restaurant, the award-winning Library or if you’re after something a little more relaxed the adjoin- ing bbar restaurant is serving up South African themed cuisine. We can’t recom- mend this hotel highly enough and as the PA you can be confident if your boss is staying here you’ll know their every whim or worry will be catered to, leaving you in peace for the duration of their stay.
