OFFICE ESSENTIALS FILE HOSTING tDropbox

FREE (up to 18GB) We’ve been using Dropbox for a while and it’s revolutionsed our inboxes! Previously we’d be hunting through emails trying to find the attachment we need – which no doubt we’d deleted as it was too large and taking up valuable space. Luckily Dropbox gives you back some of that space. All you need to do is install the Dropbox software (www.dropbox.com) onto all of your devices which you want to use it on – it’s particular useful to pair your office computer with a mobile device or laptop at home. Then it’s as straightforward as dropping files into a Dropbox folder and then accessing them from another device. You can invite people to see the folder so it’s great if you’re collaborating with a colleague. The only thing to remember is that if you add something to Dropbox (or take something from Dropbox) you remove it from its original location so always remember to copy it first. We review what’s worth spending the office stationery budget on

STATIONERY

sTipp-Ex Mini Pocket Mouse

£1.99We’ve all been there – you’ve spent hours slaving over a report that has to be on the CEO’s desk in minutes and just as you give it a quick read through you spot a glaring error. You can either sigh, correct the error on the computer and wait for it to print it off again or you can reach for your Mini Pocket Mouse from Tipp-Ex. It’s far easier to apply neatly than the original bottle of liquid – you can precisely target the error by firmly swiping the Mouse over the paper. Plus you don’t need to wait for the any liquid to dry – you can write over the top immediately with this correction option. It’s ideal for less formal papers – obviously if you’re correcting a printed document you’ll be amending the error by pen not PC plus the tape isn’t the same brilliant white as most paper but rather more cream. STATIONERY sBIC Atlantis Pen

£3.75 for two According to research which took in the opinions of 220 office workers, when it comes to choosing pens for the office the most important factors are the smoothness of writing and value for money. So in response to this BIC created the Atlantis Clic ball-pen. It does indeed deliver a smooth writing experience – crucial for when you’re taking notes or minutes at a meeting and don’t want a stop start action or blank spots on your paper. The pen has a rubber grip so that it’s comfortable to use for extended periods of time plus it’s refillable so it’s kind to the environment. It’s available in black, blue, green and red and the retractable nib means should you need to sling it in your handbag you can be sure it won’t mark anything. The pen is comfortable to use and two thirds of office workers say they’ll recommend it. INFO www.bicworld.com
