GAR Committee Applications FOR 2013

Committee appointments will be made in September by GAR President-Elect Robin Lance with assistance from Linda Carol Porterfield, who is nominated for 2013 President-Elect. Applicants will be notified of their placements this Fall.
GAR Contract Forms Update
With the initial release of the 2012 GAR Forms Package, there were a few errors and inaccuracies. Because of these errors, GAR has decided to release a mid-year revisions package. The package is now complete and may be retrieved HERE. This will require your NRDS # (GAR Members). For a list of changes, please CLICK HERE. If you receive your forms via one of our Form Vendors, please be aware that they had until Monday, June 4, 2012, to have the revisions available to users.
Also, we have made available generic forms (F1–F16 and CO1–CO12) on OUR WEB SITE for members to use in items such as electronic templates, pre-bundled office/ agent listing packets and buyers packets. We have also posted watermarked TRAINING FORMS in password-protected areas for easier access for members and member boards.

The GEORGIA CHAPTER OF THE WOMEN’S COUNCIL OF REALTORS, for being named State WCR Chapter of the Year by WCR National, during the NAR Midyear Meetings.
The DEKALB ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS for being named one of REALTOR “Outstanding REALTOR Association Web Sites.”DAR was one of five winners, and won for the 701-2,000 member category.
2013 Officers & Directors NOMINATED
The GAR Nominating Committee met on May 7, 2012, and selected the following candidates to be presented for approval as line officers and regional directors at the GAR Board of Directors meeting on Sept. 8, 2012, at the GAR Annual Convention & Trade Expo in New Orleans, La.: Linda Carol Porterfield, President-Elect; Jim Smith, Vice President; Ryan Brashear, Vice President; Sheila Brower, Vice President; Michael Faulkner, Vice President; Todd Tucker, Region 3 Director; Stephen Walker, Region 4 Director; Joey Tucker, Region 5 Director; and Ruth Heyward, Region 8 Director.
The following individuals were selected as NAR Directors-at-Large and alternates for 2013: Bill Boatman, Barbara Kennon, Arlene Davis, Linda Carol Porterfield, Steven Fischer (first alternate), Jim Smith (second alternate), Ryan Brashear (third alternate), and Sheila Brower (fourth alternate).
Please be advised that Ennis Antoine will run from the floor at the GAR Board of Directors meeting on Sept. 8, 2012, in New Orleans, La., to challenge the Region 3 Director position.
