The Hinesville Area Board had a busy Spring, started with the recognition of the 2011 Top Producers at their annual Awards Banquet in March. Next, the Board won the Best Decorated Campsite at the Liberty County Relay for Life! The board wishes to thank everyone that came out to support its team, with special thanks to Jeff Ashmen, Crystal Gaddy, Ed Milan, Mark Evans, Lafonya Hughes, and the Front Runnerz M/C of Hinesville. These individuals did a wonderful job putting together the HABR Haunted House to “Scare away cancer!” HABR exceeded their fundraising goal for this event by 20 percent. Finally, many HABR Members participated in Read Across Georgia April 26-27.
ATLANTA BOARD
On Thursday, May 3, members attended the 23rd Annual Auction, “Circus, Circus,” to network and bid on fabulous items. Many attendees walked away with great deals on week-long vacations, spa packages, business services, home decorations and much, much more. Once again, Tom Spurlin did a fantastic job as auctioneer, as did the Auction Chairman Jim Floyd and the entire Auction Committee.
Proceeds will benefit Habitat for Humanity —Atlanta Chapter for the Home Build Project slated for this fall. A special thanks to Grand Sponsor First Multiple Listing Service (FMLS). Additionally, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage stepped up as the Home Build Project Partner with a $25,000 donation, which will go straight toward ABR’s eleventh Habitat home. By this December, a local Atlanta family in need will thank you all for your support of this vital fundraiser. By doing as little as purchasing a ticket, individuals have aided someone in need.
The Board would like to thank everyone who volunteered, attended, contributed and sponsored the event.
400 NORTH BOARD OF REALTORS
On Thursday, May 9, the 400 North Board hosted its 3rd Annual Trade
Show at the Forsyth Conference Center, located on the campus of Lanier Technical College. The Trade Show hosted 32 exhibitors and nearly 150 attendees including the vendors. Attendees had the opportunity to network with various types of industries, have their names placed in drawings for great prizes including a free renewal membership for 2013. The Trade Show Committee would like thank all of the sponsors as well as the exhibitors for their tremendous support of the event. The success of this event would not have been possible without them. Lastly, a special thanks to Laury Gardner, Trade Show Chairman, and the entire committee for their dedication and commitment in hosting such an outstanding Trade Show.
