CARPET CAPITAL
The Carpet Capital Association recently honored Murray and Whitfield County First Responders — including local police departments, sheriff’s offices, local fire departments, EMT’s and 911 operators —with an appreciation luncheon. The festivities were held on May 3, with an Italian themed luncheon and door prizes. The luncheon was organized by Doyle Huggins, Chair and members of the Community Service Committee.
Chief Bruce Satterfield of the Dalton Fire Department sent a thank you card on behalf of the Fire Department thanking all involved for the luncheon; “What an excellent lunch! You’re to be commended for your efforts in an event of this magnitude and thank you for thinking of us.” “We appreciate your efforts and each of you who participated! Very well done!” Numerous door prizes were awarded to attendees. Atlanta Commercial Board
On Thursday, March 29, the 53rd Million Dollar Club Banquet took place at the InterContinental Buckhead to honor the 479 Members of the 2012 Million Dollar Club. This year’s Club produced over $11 Billion in commercial real estate transactions and the Board was proud to honor our award winners for their outstanding achievements! The high energy and the positive atmosphere in the room were truly inspiring on such a celebratory evening.
ACBR would like to thank Jeff Kelley, 2012 MDC Chairman, and the entire MDC Committee for all of their hard work. A special thanks to Ben Logue and Jodi Selvey, who entertained the crowd as Masters of Ceremonies! The evening’s entertainment began with Bob Ward’s band and then the ballroom rocked with great music as the award winners were recognized. The highlight of the evening was a FLASH MOB and a dancing Ben Logue!

COLUMBUS
The Columbus Board’s REACH Committee (REALTORS Extending a Caring Hand) hosted its second Chili Cookoff this Spring. Winners were Bob Jones, first place; Courtney Horsager, second place; and Gloria Richardson, third place. The Columbus Board would like to thank sponsors Barry Vaught with Day Crowley.
