PAINTED DOUBLES Winter Jewels™ Double Hellebores
(H. orientalis)–Zones 4-9–Premier hellebore hybridizer Marietta O’Byrne of Eugene, OR, spent many years hand-crossing the best stock plants from around the world, introducing only those hybrids with huge blooms up to 3 inches across in unique col- ors, produced on the most vigorous and fl oriferous plants. Mature plants form clumps up to 18 inches tall and 24 inches wide. Plant hellebores in well-drained, highly organic soil in full to partial shade. They’re easy to grow and deer-resistant, too! 3 inch pots.
zones are meant for guidelines only. Other plant growth factors may affect hardiness such as rainfall, wind, humidity, soil type, altitude, sunlight and cultural practices. Local climates may vary considerably. It’s always best to use your instincts, observe other gardens in the area, and be willing to do some experimenting with plant locations and plant protections.
Hardiness zones are based on the average minimum temperatures for each zone. Lower numbers indicate the most northerly area where plants will survive the winter and higher numbers are the most southern area where they will perform consistently. Recommended plant

CORAL SUNSET PEONY Coral Sunset Peony
13412–Zones 3-8–Extraordinary color transition makes this pe- ony a multi-hued sensation. Huge fl ower buds of deep coral open into semi-double to double fl owers of the same brilliant hue. The color softens to coral-pink, changing to shades of shell pink and soft lavender sometimes mixed with a little cream, and fi nally fi nishes soft pastel yellow. When weather conditions are favorable, the entire transition evolves over 10 to 14 days. Sun-loving, bushy, 28 inch tall plants have stiff stems that resist fl opping. Coral Sunset blooms in late spring, early in the peony season. Awarded a Gold Medal by the American Peony Society. Select 3 to 5 eye divisions. Each $19.95; 2 for $36.95; 4 for $69.95
