SKIDATA’S NEW TECHNOLOGY GOING UNDERGROUND
The rising cost of parking on- street and the high demand on parking spaces in many city centres has meant that any car parking space is important to its owner. So equipment that allows for the efficient use of a car park is always welcome. APT Skidata has installed equipment into an underground
car park at Jury’s Inn hotel in Derby that will both enhance the customer experience and increase convenience to users. The 35-space facility was previously inaccessible as the entrance was protected by a manual roller shutter that could only be operated by staff. APT Skidata installed an entry
and exit system to make this process easier.
At the same time, APT Skidata
Manual.Cash, provides a workstation environment for car park attendants to manage all transactions, allowing guests to pay for their parking with minimum inconvenience. David Livingstone, deputy
hotel manager, said: Not many city centre hotels have on-site parking facilities, so having a car park directly underneath the hotel is a big advantage and adds value to our guests’ overall stay. The equipment installed by APT Skidata has made our jobs much easier operationally, and is very simple to use.’
