We provide leadership across the transport sector, working with regional, local and private sector partners to achieve our objectives.


We are looking for individuals with strong commercial negotiating skills, who are experienced in programme and project management, in order to help us deliver the Government’s programme of enhancements to the country’s road and rail networks.


You will be working closely with ministers, senior figures in the transport sector and other key external stakeholders in managing and developing large commercial contracts and major infrastructure projects.


It is essential that you have a strong track record in managing risk and in challenging the nature, scope and commercial structure of projects, in order to achieve the best possible value for money. We welcome applicants who have worked in sectors with an emphasis on delivery. Knowledge of the transport sector is desirable, but not essential.


Rail Commercial Performance and Train Plan Manager


Pay Band 6 salary range: £46,446 - £56,400 pa depending on experience


We are looking for an individual with strong analytical and evaluation skills and experience, to help us ensure that the rail industry delivers the improvements in performance and services to which the Government is committed. It is essential you have a strong track record in problem-solving and managing complex analytical and evaluation issues. We are looking for an individual who is highly numerate and experienced in working with large databases and spreadsheets.
